Description
RIBBED SWIRL MINIATURE LAMP, rubina, ball-form font with colorless applied base, five leaf-form ornaments support the font and raised on five shell patterned toes, matching patterned umbrella-form shade, period collar. Fitted with a period Nutmeg burner, colorless chimney. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 8 1/4" HOA to top of shade, 4 1/8" H to top of collar, 3 1/2" D base.
Excellent condition, one foot tip with a flake and roughness to another, otherwise undamaged, shade rims with normal roughness and the top with a bubble and a lower rib with a tiny potstone, each as made, collar with light corrosion. Burner with some repairs, chimney undamaged.
