Description
Marilyn Monroe Rare Framed Photograph From Entertaining Troops in Korea - This is a rare black and white photograph of Marilyn Monroe, from her time in Korea entertaining the troops. After their marriage in 1954, Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio went to Japan to spend their honeymoon. While Joe was attending his baseball camps, Marilyn took a helicopter to the Korean peninsula to entertain the troops. She spent four days touring American military bases, putting on 10 shows for an estimated 100,000 very excited servicemen. The photograph shows a smiling, vivacious Marilyn who appears to have just stepped off of a helicopter on one of the bases. The photograph is in excellent condition, and has been framed in a lovely, speckled gold frame. The piece (including the frame) measures approx. 9.5" x 11.75".
