Zachary Taylor: A Very Rare 1848 Silk Campaign Ribbon.  Taylor ribbons are very tough, with not more than perhaps 15-20 examples known of all varieties. The present design is listed by Sullivan & Fischer as ZT-5, but no example was available for them to photograph. We have seen perhaps one or two other examples over the years. The ribbon measures 2.375" x 6.375" and is in very good overall condition with a little surface soiling as shown. Several minor light creases are noted for accuracy, as are tiny areas of damage at lower right corner and upper right corner.
