Description
Ink drawing with pencil and wash on tan-colored laid paper, cubist head studies, attributed * to Julio Gonzalez (1876-1942). Signed with the artist's initials and dated 1937. 10 1/2 x 7 1/4 inches. Few small margin tears, otherwise good overall condition. Unframed for inspection and post-auction shipping.

Provenance: Presumably acquired via auction in Paris, France by the former owner's family (circa 1990) from the estate of Anna-Eva Bergman. Bergman was the wife of german artist, Hans Hartung, who was at one time an assistant to Julio Gonzalez. Hartung was also married for a brief time to Roberta Gonzalez, the artist's daughter.
