The art for this serigraph cel was carefully selected by Disney artists from the original animation drawing used to produce "Pointer" The artists used the master print of the film as their color guide. The serigraphy artisans at Chicago Serigraphic Workshop created seventeen separate screens, one for each individual color, from which the edition was printed, one color at a time. By using this meticulous serigraph process, the hand-crafted quality of an original cel was achieved.This limited edition is comprised of 9,500 unnumbered serigraph cels. As is the custom in fine art print-making, the silkscreens used to create the edition were destroyed when the edition was completed.
