Description
A large and attractive Cypriot Archaic bichrome jug, c. 750 - 600 BC, the round body with ring foot, the tubular neck heavily constricted with wide mouth with squared rim, circular handle on side. The sides of the vessel are decorated with concentric bands in dark brown and red slip, a red net device in between. A nice example, quite heavy and solid. H: 9 ½ in (24. Light deposits.
