This Antique Russian Icon was painted in a very unusual manner, the artist used hand carved wooden canvas, that is not normal of Antique Russian Icons. This Antique Icon was painted in the 19th century in Central Russia. The artist used egg tempera paint, hand carved wood and the size of this Icon is 22" x 10". It is a very collectible piece and has been preserved very well. The icon is 100% original and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
