CHINESE PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLES, 5 PCS, H 2 5/8"-3 1/2":The first example having a rounded body decorated with foo dogs in iron red, having a green hardstone stopper, otherwise unmarked; the second example of elongated bottle form, with enameled European women to body, accompanied by a partial remnant of the stopper, otherwise unmarked; the third example also of elongated bottle form with enameled figural group and black character marks to body, having red marks to underside, and accompanied by a red hardstone and metal stopper; the fourth example of rounded shoulder and compressed flask form, with enameled decoration of a figural group to each side, accompanied by a green hardstone stopper, otherwise unmarked; the last bottle a contemporary example of compressed flask form, having a figural group to one side, and a floral and vase arrangement to verso, the sides painted in a polychrome and gilt border, having red marks to underside, and accompanied by a green hardstone stopper.

The foo dog example is heavily worn at the body, as well has having the occasional firing fault. The European woman example slightly worn, and also missing a portion of the stopper. The figural group example painted on the elongated bottle form having some slight wear, but in good used condition. The flask form bottle with wear to figural group, as well as some discoloration and firing faults, but in good condition considering age and use. The modern example with some light wear to decoration, and a few isolated firing faults, but generally in good used condition.
