George III-Style Mahogany Writing Table
late 19th century, in the Irish taste, the rectangular top with a three-quarter foliate-pierced gallery and carved edge, above a conforming cove-molded and foliate-carved frieze, fitted with a single drawer, raised on cabriole legs headed by acanthine carving and ending in ball-and-claw feet.

Condition
In overall very good condition.
Tight and solid.
The finish exhibits some areas of wear and light surface scratches to the top, minor shrinkage and other
indications of age and use.
There are no losses to the carving in the gallery. The corner joints where the sides meet the back are
detached from one another.
The carving exhibits some typical, scattered minor chips and flakes to the edges, but no notable losses.
