TAXCO STERLING TEARDROP NECKLACE GILDED SILVER: 20thc, Taxco Mexico. Unusual Modernist design necklace is comprised of 37 teardrop pendants attached by circular, soldered jump rings and attached with a box clasp. Unusual in that the entire necklace bears a warm gilded wash over the sterling, a rarely seen technique in Mexican sterling silver jewelry, 17.125"l, impressed 'TR-53 925 MEXICO', 64.83g, 41.69dwt.
