19th Century Oil on Board of Le Havre Harbor and its beach by Alfred Stevens. Signed LL A. Stevens for Alfred Emile Leopold Stevens (1823 - 1906) of Belgium. Verso features a hand-painted statement in French signed by Stevens's son Leopold, regarding the authorship and location of the painting. Alfred Stevens was friends and colleagues with many cultural leaders of the Parisian Second Empire including Delacroix, ThÃ©odore Rousseau, Alexandre Dumas, Baudelaire, and Edouard Manet. Measures 13 x 17 inches framed.
