Eva Zeisel, an extremely rare test of the Feathered Friends decoration pattern on a Platter or Chop Plate, Monmouth Pottery, Western Stoneware Company, Eva Zeisel Fine Stoneware, Monmouth, Illinois, circa 1953-1954. The underside with a label from the firm identifying the test piece as "number 729 for Mrs. Zeisel of Feathered Friends." Dia. of Platter: 13 3/4 in. (34.5 cm). 1620-115
