In the mid 1920s Raoul Dufy (1877-1953) collaborated with the Spanish architect Nicolau Rubio and ceramicist Josep Artigas to create a small group of miniature ceramic gardens. They are represented in some of the world’s great museums, but we can find only one example having come to auction- that being in the Christie's Paris sale of the Yves Saint Laurent collection on Feb. 23-25, 2009,( lot 59), which sold for $233,000
It is signed by all three artists.
