Description
A group of items relating to Lana Turner. Except for the lobby cards, these items belonged to Turner personally and were among a group of items given to a close friend of Turner's and later sold. The items include a handwritten notebook that appears to have been used as a daily planner or list holder containing 38 double-sided pages on which are written song titles and lengths, events, grocery lists, and phone numbers and addresses, among other notations; a group of nine publicity photographs of Turner; a group of 10 Turner family photographs from the 1960s; a jewelry receipt signed by Turner dated December 2, 1984; and a group of eight vintage magazines featuring Turner on the cover from 1940 to 1954. Also included are six lobby cards from two Lana Turner movies. The lot includes a single card from Ziegfeld Girl (MGM, 1941) and five cards (title card and cards 5, 6, 7, and 8) from Marriage Is a Private Affair (MGM, 1944).
