19th C. Chinese porcelain potted In form of seated Buddha in elaborately dressed figure, elongated ears, position of appeasement with eyes closed and serene face beneath five pointed headdress. Hands in Dhayana Mudra gesture of absolute balance, meditation. Seated in full lotus position upon double lotus throne. The robe is hand painted very detail with famille rose polychrome various geometrical patterns. The reverse side having a hole with missing lid.
Double incised seal marks on base.
The shape is uniformly proportioned. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese GuanYao porcelain Imperial wares , with finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, the painting, and the shape. Without overlap the outlines of the design, well drawn, clear, subtle, and distinct. The clay is fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous.
