Description
A nice pair of Hellenistic ceramic unguentariums, c. 3rd – 1st Century BC, the bodies pear-shaped with long tubular neck and flattened rims, each with traces of slip around the mouth and light deposits. Largest H: 5 3/5 in (14.3cm). Both well-preserved and good examples of popular Greek oil or perfume vessels. Ex collection of Elizabeth S. Loker, former Vice President of the Washington Post.
