Rare work on the Knights of Malta and their Order. The D'Onofri in the form of "account" describes the origin, progress and affirmation of the Sacred Military Order of Gerosolimano, including a limited biography of all the Great Masters by Gerardo de Tunc, considered the founder and founder of the Order up to Emmanuel de Rohan-Pulduc, Grand Master of the Order from 1775 until his death in 1797. In the work there are instructions for young adept and aspiring Knights who "will want to abide by such a respectable Order" . The work is dedicated to Francesco d'Aquino, prince of Caramanico and Viceroy of Sicily.

Il D’Onofri in forma di “ragguaglio” descrive l’origine, il progresso e l’affermazione del Sacro Militar Ordine Gerosolimitano, includendovi anche una ristretta biografia di tutti i Gran Maestri da Gerardo de Tunc, considerato l’istitutore e il fondatore dell’Ordine, fino ad Emmanuel de Rohan-Pulduc, Gran Maestro dell’Ordine dal 1775 fino alla morte, avvenuta nel 1797. Nell’opera sono presenti delle istruzioni per i giovani adepti ed aspiranti Cavalieri che “vorranno ascriversi ad un così rispettabile Ordine”. Following is a full list of Knights followed by acronyms and dates that indicate in some cases their date of birth, birth or acceptance of the tests, followed by the abbreviation of such Prize-like awards. At the end of the work, another list in alphabetical order illustrates the families who had knights of justice in the Sacred Military Order of Gerosolimano.
