Etched and paint decorated on the front with a crest of 2 rampant greyhounds flanking a shield under a crown with banner below reading “Animo Non Astutia” and advertising for “Old Highland Whisky, Gordon Brand, Reg’d Proprietors Pattisons Limited, Leith & London”. Blind stamp on the side of the jug for “J.A. Cox” of SOHO London and registry number 97380. In overall good condition, has minor chipping and flaking along the edges but no damage to the body, wear to the paint and spout is frozen shut. 30 in. high x 10 in. dia. Weight: 14.5 lbs.
