VERVE AN ARTISTIC AND LITERARY QUARTERLY, 1938-1939. The French Review of Art, Paris, four volumes in three (no. 3 October-December 1938, no. 4 January-March 1939 and no. 5-6 July-October 1939). Volume II number 5/6 has covers by Millol and lithographs by Guys, Rouault, Braque, Derain, Leger, Bonnard, Matisse, and Klee. Also some full page Mathew Brady photographs. 13.75 inches x 10 inches (35 x 25.5 cm). Each bound in half Moroccan leather and gilt stamp on spine.

Condition

Good to very good condition overall. Few scuff marks of discoloration on text pages opposing dark colored prints or photogravures. Each with a binders label of "John F. Newman, Dublin". The cover is in fine condition.
