The portfolio comprising 15 etchings with aquatint and accompanying text by Andre Malraux, signed in pencil by the artist on the justification page, also signed and dated in ink by the author. The lithographed title page with an inscription signed by Chagall and dated 1978. Loose unsewn signatures as issued, with printed paper wraps and original linen covered hardboard clamshell case with embossed gilt spine.

Very good to fine condition overall. Little or no signs of usage. Printed cover wrap with a few soft folds at fore edge from improper placement in clamshell case. Clamshell case with minimal signs of wear.
