The Angel Raphael and the young Tobias taking leave of Tobit. 4. Raguel’s reception of Tobias. 5. Tobias returning home to father. 6. Departure of the Angel. Each with full margins on laid paper. Sheet size 28 x 37.8 cm and the average image or impression size approximately 20 x 28-29 cm. Together with two scenes from The Story of Esther after Maarten van Heemskerck (1498-1574) engraved by Philip Galle (1537-1612) comprising: 1. Mordecai overhearing the treason of Bigthan and Teresh. 2. Ahasuerus giving his ring to Haman with commission to destroy the Jews. Each with full margins on laid paper and both exhibiting a watermark (N within circle). Sheet size 28 x 37 cm, image or impression size 20 x 25 cm. Also an image from The History of Ruth after Adriaen de Weerdt (1510-1590) engraved by Philip Galle (1537-1612), depicting Ruth on the Threshing Floor of Boaz, with full margins on laid paper and with anchor and flowerhead watermark.
