Fine Satinwood Commode with extravagant decorated inlaid top with laurel wreaths in various woods, similar freeze decoration on four doors with simple geometric design, brass stringers and feet. circa 1778, 32.5 x 54 x 20 inches, Provenance: The Saint James gallery, NYC in 1948; Henry William King Pittsburgh, from the original invoice "note the fine workmanship on this commode suggests the satinwood work of Chippendale
