Description
White ground and blue underglaze porcelain vase with two medallions of landscapes enameled in a famille rose palette from Republic period. Vase has two decorative handles and the blue underglaze features bats, scroll work, flowers, and ruyi. The medallions depict idyllic landscapes with people and buildings. It has a 6-character seal mark on the bottom. Vase comes with a wooden stand.
Dimensions are 12 3/4 inches tall X 5 7/8 inches wide. The stand is 4 5/8 inches tall. All measurements are approximate.
From the estate of Eulalio Carrera Lowe. The first Panamanian Consul General in Guangzhou, China. Then in Hong Kong and Macau in the 1940s and 1950s.
