Description
A pair of Chinese celadon-ground zun vases dating from the Republic period that have been converted into lamps. Each vase features two blue and white roundels of landscape scenes with figures. Handles in the shapes of ruyi wands flank the necks of either vase.
Dimensions are: the vase measures 14 inches tall X 8 inches wide, 35.6 cm X 20.3 cm, while the lamp measures 34 inches tall X 8 inches wide, 86.4 cm X 20.3 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Both vases have glaze chipping to the roundels and one large crack to their bodies.
Provenance: From a private North Carolina collection.
