White jade carving of a pair of guardian lions from the Ming dynasty. The adult guardian lion has a ball between its paws while a young guardian lion climbs on its back.
Dimensions are 2 inches tall X 2 3/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.

Provenance: From a retired surgeon in Bethesda, Maryland.
