Description
The high-shouldered ovoid jar brightly enameled around the body with sinuous five-clawed dragons amidst green, yellow and red fire and clouds above crashing waves and mountains, all flanked between a lappet border the foot, and a band of phoenix in flight amidst dense leafy stems around the shoulder, the short neck decorated with a band of key-fret pattern and inscribed a eight character mark reads as made in the third year of Tianqi Reign by Tang. Ming Dynasty Tianqi period.
