Description

Both signed P. Ipsen, Kjobonhavn; one marked Eperet 386, one marked Eneret 388. One plaque is of a goddess of fertility, holding a basket of cherubic babies with a dog by her side. She is reaching up to touch the flying cherub and there is a tambourine by her side. Made in the Ipsen factory in Copenhagen between 1871 - 1917 by Rasmus Peter Ipsen, with impressed marks. Dimensions: H 9.5" x W 9" Condition: Surface and edge chipping.
