AMERICAN PIECED QUILTS, LOT OF TWO, comprising one with "Duck Tracks" design, printed yellow and white cotton, having 21 blocks; and one "Tennessee Flyfoot/Good Luck" design with printed red and white cotton. Having 72 blocks. Likely made in the area of Dante, Virginia. Circa 1930. 17" x 85 3/4" and 74" x 85".
Fair condition with good color retention overall, one with moderate overall toning and staining primarily on reverse, one with small tear on one edge, scattered stains and toning.
Provenance: From a private Pennsylvania collection.
Catalogue Note: Quilts were collected by Deaconess Edith A. Booth, who was a missionary at the Honeybranch Mission in Dante, Virginia in the 1930s.
