Description
NATIVE AMERICAN / PLAINS INDIAN BEADED BAGS, LOT OF TWO, comprising a large rectangular shoulder bag with "lazy" stitched beadwork to face and cover flap, featuring turquoise ground with geometric design to flap, and two figures greeting each other, in traditional dress including long feathered headdress, with metal cones along edges, fringe along bottom, and lined with printed fabric; and an older small circular example with "lazy" stitched beadwork with geometric designs. The first example second half 20th century, the second early to mid 20th century. The first 12" x 8 1/4" OA not including fringe, the other 3 3/4" x 4 1/8" OA.
The larger example in excellent condition, with no visible losses; the other with some minor wear to sinew threading, and cover flap with a few lanes with some loss of beads.
