Description
Short note signed by General Oliver O. Howard ( 1830-1909) Howard was a career army officer and Union General in the Civil War. Howard was wounded twice at Fair Oaks and had his right arm amputated. He later received the Medal of Honor i 1893 for his heroism at Fair Oaks. Howard was also at Antietam, Chancellorsville, and Gettysburg among others. After the war he fought in the Indian wars. Nicely matted under a print of Howard. Very Good-Excellent
