Clipped signature of General John A. Logan (1826-1886) Logan served in the Mexican-American war and was a General in the Civil War. Logan was involved in the battles of First Bull Run, Belmont, Fort Donelson. Second Corinth, Vickburg and battle of Atlanta. After the war he resumed his political career and was a member of the U.S. House of Represntatives. His was also on the Blaine Presidential ticket in 1884. Logan was also an author of two books on the Civil War. "The Great Conspiracy "and "the Volunteer Soldier in America". Signature is nicely matted below print of Logan. Very Good-Excellent
