1898 CROSSSTICH SAMPLER: Auguste Heinicke was 9 years old when she completed this sampler in 1898 which includes the alphabet, numbers and border designs stitched in red cotton, on a cotton tea towel, signed in the stitches, framed: 15"h x 15"w. PROVENANCE: Rare-Era.com is honored to represent this piece on behalf of Personalized Estate Liquidation Benefiting Youth, Inc. (P.E.L.). P.E.L. is a volunteer organization boasting 50 plus dedicated volunteers and experts. The company hosts gallery sales within their 9,400-square foot showroom facility in Sarasota, Florida. Sale proceeds generated at P.E.L support causes dedicated to at risk youth throughout Sarasota County, Florida. To date, their volunteers have given over $300,000 in educational scholarships and have raised over $1.2 million.
