This is a gorgeous antique sterling silver sugar shell spoon by Whiting in the 1902 pattern 'Lily'. There spoon is monogrammed 'B' on the front of the handle. It is in very good antique condition with attractive color. This is hallmarked with the old Whiting trademark. It is also marked Pat 1902 R'D 1902 STERLING and J.M. Hemwood & Co. for the silversmiths. Measurements of this beauty are approximately 5-7/8" and the weight is 35.3 grams.

Whiting Silver was founded in 1866 by William Dean Whiting, who had earned a reputation as a master maker of sterling silver. During the late 19th century, the firm was one of the premier manufacturers of sterling silver flatware, hollowware, and other decorative objects such as snuff boxes.
