West Africa, Ivory Coast, Dan, ca. early 20th century CE. Hand-carved wood feast spoons, the larger one with engraved details on the handle, both with concave ladles. Dark brown, lustrous rich patina. Size: x-shaped handled spoon 18.25" L (46.4 cm)

Provenance: Ex-Pearson Collection, Denver, CO, Ex Arte Primitivo Gallery; Ex-Marshall Mount collection, gifted to his son Christopher.
