Description

Asian Hardwood Altar Cabinet

20th century, the rectangular top with rounded raised ends, above a case fitted with two drawers over two cabinet doors, the whole elaborately carved in cloud and dragon patterns, raised on block feet.
h. 35", w. 65", d. 17-1/2"

Condition

In good "as found" condition. The table is solid and sturdy. The carved fretwork bottom apron is now detached, as are the doors and astragal between them. One door is very loose at the joints and needs to be re-glued. The top and edges exhibit minor wear and abrasions to the finish. Some shrinkage throughout.
