Francis I by Reed & Barton Sterling Silver Custom Made Cake Knife. Measures 12". Perfect for cutting cakes or slicing bread . This piece would make a perfect Wedding Cake Knife. Custom made pieces are made from an original hollow handle in your pattern with a new stainless implement. Then the piece is hand-finished by a highly skilled silversmith in the USA. The hollow handle is sterling silver. The handle it is not usually stamped. Hollow handle items were usually not stamped due to their hollow construction. All of our hollow handle pieces are thoroughly inspected and tested prior to shipping and are guaranteed sterling.

Reed & Barton is a prominent American silversmith manufacturer based in Massachussetts, operating between 1824 and 2015. Its specialties include sterling silver and silverplate flatware. Rooted in American history, the firm produced a considerable amount of weapons for Union Army soldiers during the Civil War.
