Description
**First Time At Auction**

Classical World, Southern Italy, Apulia, ca. 4th century BCE. A small terracotta footed black slipware vessel for holding salt and other commonly-used spices. A slightly inverted inner rim keeps excess spices from being poured out, and a wide base creates stability for the dish.
