China, Han Dynasty, ca. 206 BCE to 220 CE. A large, heavy, cast bronze dagger or large spear point with a raised, rounded ridge. By the time of the Han Dynasty, weaponry used in battle was made of iron or steel; bronze daggers were made specifically for funerary purposes, to demonstrate the wealth and prowess of the deceased. Size: 10.9" L x 1.45" W (27.7 cm x 3.7 cm)
