Description
A Chinese bronze dagger axe, dating from the Warring States period (475-221 BCE). A dragon shaped creature is cast behind the blade, and a sturdy base underneath has a triangular shaped hole for the pole or handle.
L. 5 5/8" (14.2 cm)
Provenance: Collection of Mr, and Mrs. Ralph Harman Booth, Grosse Pointe, Michigan,acquired in the 1930s, and thence by descent

Condition: in good condition overall with patina over the bronze.
