A self-taught painter, sculptor and draftsman. Pelaez Alcazar interest in landscape painting is clearly linked to a strong preference for rural life. In his works, the artist expresses a new romantic vision of the Cuban countryside, imbuing the vegetation and sky with a sense of movement and an atmosphere of romance.
