From Dr. Randi's Estate in Northern New York. Car was purchased in the 1970's from the original owner who lived in Canton, NY. The car is 90% restored and 95% complete. There has been a frame off restoration done to the car and it only lacks minor touches to be complete. Such as minor electrical wiring, linkage to starter, headliner installed and a few other minor details. Two things that need to be done before starting the car are freeing the clutch plate and replacing the radiator fan (one bent blade). The engine turns over and the owner has had the car started since it was restored however, we have not had the car started and we do not know if it has ever been driven. The body of the car was painted in a body shop however, the fenders appear to have been painted by an amateur. The car has a new vinyl top and the interior upholstery is almost complete, just lacking a cloth headliner. The car has suicide doors and comes with a spare tire. Under the hood there is a 6 cylinder engine and it has an electric fuel pump added to assist starting. The mileage on the odometer reads 42, 991 and the vin #648336. The Essex has not been registered in over 50 years. Comes with an Essex owner manual, hard cover book, photos of restoration work and photos of when it was purchased in the 1970's. It will not be transported to Saranac Lake for the auction. It can be previewed by appointment at our auction hall in Potsdam,NY prior to auction day.
