Souheastern Asian, Burmese, 19th/20th century. Group of two items comprising of a rectangular red lacquered lidded box hand decorated on top with figures walking with elephant amid trees and flowers within patterned borders, text above and below scene, side panels with similar motif, floral motif on bottom; and a diminutive cast and gilt bronze deity sculpture with tapered cap, ornament throughout, unmarked. Box measures approximately 2.4" x 7.3" x 3.75". Bronze figure approximate height 3.75".
