Description
This striking match safe has a repoussé design of a bearded Iris to the front and back. The details are wonderful as it captures the essence of this lovely flower. It has a hinge that is tight fitting and in good working order. There is the smallest of gaps that can be seen in the picture where the lid closes; other wise it is in excellent condition, no dings or dents or real issues; it is a very fine example. The match strike is to the bottom.; Whiting Manufacturing Company, New York, New York, circa 1900 Marks: (W with griffin), STERLING, 6020 2-5/8 inches high x 1- 1/2 inches wide 0.7 ounces
