GREEK / TURKISH ETHNIC ARTICLES, LOT OF TWO, comprising one wool purse/pouch with elaborate polychrome wool embroidery and flap enclosure with strap; and one bodice having tabbed interior edges, shell buttons, lace trim on sleeves, green satin with geometric woven fabric. Together with one fragment of fabric matching that used in the bodice. Three pieces total. Late 19th/early 20th century. Purse 8" L, bodice 24" L.
Very good condition overall with one minor hole on back of purse/pouch, scatted minor holes/losses to lace and satin on bodice.
Provenance: From a Charlottesville, VA private collection.
Collected from a generational Gloucester Co., VA home.
