American Rosewood Bedstead
mid-19th century, in the transitional Late Classical into Rococo Revival style, attributed to the warerooms of Prudent Mallard, New Orleans, the paneled headboard with a robustly carved crest mounted between two full-round posts, the footboard with large carved and turned finials.

Condition
In as found condition. Veneer losses to the corner of the headboard frame. On rail bracket is cracked in
half and needs to be glued. Numerous scuffs and scatches from age and use - mostly to the rails. The
bolts and nuts may need attention as they all do not tighten well.
