India, Mughal period, ca. 19th century CE. Stunning and ready to wear necklace and slide. This is a beautiful and wearable antique necklace, made in India, with gold beads between teardrop rubies. Two sinuous gold clasps hold it together. Size: 24" L (61 cm). Extender portion measures 8-1/2"L on its own and can be worn as a separate bracelet, or used to extend the 16"L necklace to a full 24"L. The slider pendant, also Mughal of the same period is in a floral design set with rubies, peridot, emeralds with central moonstone, all against a blue enamel background. All gold tests 18 kt or higher. Size of pendant: 1.5" W (3.8 cm)
