A George III silver circular salver by John Crouch & Thomas Hannam, London 1776, with a cast border and a beaded rim, pierced and chased with anthemion alternating with bell flowers, engraved with a shield within a ribbon tied wreath, on four bracket feet cast and pierced with anthemion, 39cm (105 1/4in) diameter, 1671g (53.7 oz) Provenance: Bought by N. A. Iliff, Esq. from Harvey & Gore, Burlington Gardens in May 1967 for £360 (photocopy of receipt). The arms of William Childe of Kinlet, Co. Salop.
