Description

Black Hills Copper Company Limited. Jerome, Arizona : 2-Nov, 1905. Black print on cream paper. Approximately 8-1/2x 12, in plastic sleeve. Fine. The certificate has a very large decorative border with other ornamentation. One image in upper left corner of four miners in a mine, one holding a light, the others various implements. The company name is "Black Hills Copper Company" in Jerome, Arizona. The certificate is dated Nov. 2, 1905 and gives 500 shares to William Crockard. It has four original signatures in black ink. Jerome is a picturesque small town that draws lots of artists and tourists, looking out towards Oak Creek and Sedona from the top of Cleopatra Hill between Prescott and Flagstaff. Once it was known as "the wickedest town in the West".
