Description
18th Century Chinese Sino-Tibetan Mantle Worn by a Buddhist Monk (Jiasha), Silk and gold-wrapped thread slit-tapestry weave, also called KASAYA (patchwork Buddhist robe), "Buddha's Robe". Embroidered in vivid color depicted various figures in ceremonial scene towards centralized Buddha figures, with two dragons on top, set against the bright red silk ground, bordered within royal blue.
