A Russian leather-bound photo album with lacquer covers, Lukutin Manufactory, circa 1863-1876. The cover set with a fine lacquer plaque depicting a peasant couple offering hospitality to a wealthy peasant man seated under an icon in their modest home, the scene surrounded by an intricate checkered gilt border, with black leather spine, moiré coated endpapers, twenty-four double-sided, gilt-edged pages with rectangular apertures for photographs, and an engraved white metal locking hasp. The back cover set with a black lacquer plate with the Lukutin factory's mark with Imperial warrant in use between 1863 and 1876. 601-101. Dimensions: 6 1/8 x 5 5 /8" (15.5 x 14.2 cm).

Overall very good condition, some tiny areas of loss (visible in photos) consistent with age, use, and material.
